It appears to be an issue arising from the recent server migration. Many people are having this issue.

You can try the instructions from the knowledge base article titled "I'm unable to download the online profile list" to install an offline version of the profile list. You won't get the error the next time you start DVD Profiler, but if you close and restart the application, the problem comes back because the online version of the profile list is still broken.

Didn't work for me. where exactly is the OnlineList.dod supposed to be in what folder?

On Windows 11, save the file in C:\Users\MyUserName\Documents\DVD Profiler

When you start DVD Profiler, it will find the file there, import the data and delete it.

Unfortunately, after that, when you restart DVD Profiler, the original problem will come back.

both invelos.com and dvdprofiler.com url's are active but https certs are not enabled, which may be why the client is struggling to talk to them.

I don't remember the website or application ever using HTTPS. It's always been just unsecured plaintext for as long as I can remember.

There is a little popup with an "unexpected end of file" in the background. Drag it and close it, then it should work.

Does this issue block updating profiles?

It looks like it stops trying to connect after closing the "unexpected end of file" dialog. I did the Ctrl+Click Online Profile List thing, and that didn't connect. Then I did the manual profile list update as indicated in the Knowledge Base.

I still get this issue each time I open the app, and I have not seen any profile updates since the site came back online.
