thanks Ross, you are right...

Sorry richie, my mistake indeed. I told you to clivck the banner, but that brings you to DVD Profiler, where the link is not present... It is only on the "regular site", within the menu.

So, it appears your friend recommended to host it yourself after all...?

Yes Achim, the offer he said was too good to refuse. Went through your link and signed up with Site5, and now have a domain name www.richesdvds.co.uk

That was the easy part, now just have to spend some hours trying to get the site up and running

Ya_Shin, when I registered with Site5, I didn't go through your link (I totally forgot), but I put your domain name in the "Where did you hear about Site5", I hope you still get the referral bonus...

I've been trying to set this up..
here

But I get the problem with fonts not being found when I look at the stats..
".. font file Cour.ttf " not being available..

I've looked at the jpg-config.inc.php but can't see what I'm supposed to change anything to.

Can anyone give me a clue?

cheers
Paul

Hello has all,

Is there one way of providing to have a link with Dvdprofiler who would open an internet page or it would be possible for example to make play the preview of the film?

I've got a problem with being unable to see any text on the top row of the banner.

My localsiteconfig settings are

$profiles = array(
  "Paul" => array(
      "nick" => "Paul",
      "first" => "Paul",
      "last" => "",
      "width" => 40,
      "height" => 56,
      "num" => 15,
      "bgcol" => "000000",
      "font" => verdana.ttf,
      "fontcol" => "FFFFFF",
      "fontsize" => 9,
      "hborder" => 7,
      "wborder" => 2,
      "padding" => 3,
      "topmsg" => "What I watched recently (as of #DATE#).",
      "botmsg" => "",
      "topalign" => "l",
      "botalign" => "l",
      "quality" => 70
)
);

I've tried changing the hborder to larger figures but it just stays blank..

      "font" => verdana.ttf,

This should be "verdana.ttf", at least I had to change it otherwise it didn't work.
With this small addition http://www.dvd-welt.de/privat/dvdliste/ws.php?me=Paul works.

If this doesn't help, you have to have a close look at jpgraph

I'll just have to leave it for now. I've wasted so much time trying and I just have no idea what can be wrong. I've changed the font name to one that I know I copied to the server. I'm using a size which is shown when I look at properties for that font.

All the graphs display with no errors so I can't see what can be wrong with jgraph.

I've tried names with/without quotes.

And I've just never managed to get any text to appear..

Strange, it was the other way around for me, the Bannerthingi worked from the beginning (well, to be exact from the moment I correctlly adjusted the path for jpgraph in the localsiteconfig.php) but I had no luck with the statistics.
After I edited the jpg-config.inc.php (part of jpgraph) with the path to the TTFs of jpgraph on my system:
DEFINE("TTF_DIR","../../jpgraph/fonts/truetype/");
they worked just fine.

well - I looked at the jpg-config.inc.php file again and changed the TTF dir and its definitely picking up the same fonts directory.

I've recopied all the aerial and cour fonts to the server just in case..

all my graphs look good.. but not the banner..

Okay I'm a retard. I have searched all the recommended links to get phpDVDProfiler and have not been able to find anyplace that has a link to actually download the zip file. All the links do is point to another discussion topic. Please some help. Thanks.
