Hmmm.  I guess I need to have to buy a bigger, wide-screen monitor with my Income Tax refund.  My 15" NEC CRT just doesn't cut it.
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)
Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.

I've changed my layout now. Seeing Zwollenaar's layout gave me an idea. So I started from Ken's banner layout, and modified it a bit for widescreen. Still used on 1680x1050

Now if only I could overlay the collection number in the lower right corner of the cover images at the top, that would be awesome!

This is my layout right now. Note Tom Gaine's Award Viewer is stuck in top set of tabs under the general info.

Nothing fancy, resolution 1680x1050:

How do you import the imdb dbase in an window ?

That is described in this thread.

On page 1 you'll find how to create a link only, on page 2 is a window with the IMDb page loaded within a HTML window.

Just be sure if you are going to import IMDb data that you keep it locally ONLY. Do NOT Contribute.

Skip, relax...

It's only about displaying the IMDb website for the film within DVD profiler...

Not every time IMDb is mentioned it is about using their data. Actually, it hasn't been like that for quite some time...

How did you get the cast and crew side by side? I suck at getting the windows where I want them

Just dragged, released and ... sweared ... dragged, released and ... sweared ... dragged, released and ... sweared. And when I finally - accidentaly - got it, quickly saved the layout and never touched it again.

... and one thing I learned from trying and trying to get the windows where I wanted them, is that you can also "stretch" them to their place  Just drag it apart and then stretch the edges of the now-separated-window until it will be on its allotted space...

But, come on, nobody willing to give me the clue about how to "flatten" the windows? Pete, your windows (all of them!) seem to be nicely flat, with grey top-edge and simple black closing "X" on top right corner. If you look my screen captures, you will notice that my windows are different. Active windows have the blue top-edge and the "X" on top-right corner is a button. Do you know how those windows can be flattened? TIA for help.

Draxen, could it be related to the way your Windows is set up...? Pete seems to have the regular XP style window, while your's looks different...

I think Draxen's windows are "floating", but Pete's and most of the others are "docked".

Now how to get the windows to dock where i want them.. I have no idea! It's a lot of trial and error..

@Pete & Achim: (I actually referred to "Pistol Pete" with my message  )

Thanks for your tip, but it wasn't the solution here - please see my latest screen cap below. I changed from "Windows Classic"-them to the basic "Windows XP" theme, and then restarted the DVDP. All the windows there are still active, but the-basic-xp-style active...

And I DID have all the windows nice and flat with the default layout, before I did anything myself, but once I started dragging and moving the windows from place to place, they changed to these "active" ones and now I simply would like to dock them to their places the way e.g. Pistol Pete has them; normal windows with flat, grey edges.

I think RossRoy's terminology here is spot on. The windows I describe as "active" are indeed not docked and "floating". I'm sure there must be some keyboard combination to dock a window to its place, if anyone knows it, please let me know (Not the most important thing in the world, but one that annoys me way too much

To dock windows, I just wait until the snap into place. I know of no secret key combo.
