I was definitely going to resubmit a profile anyway, so I attempted to re-submit, but didn't click "submit" and closed the browser. It then showed as "cleared" (as mentioned before) under contributions. I did that just to make sure, and then actually did resubmit my corrections. You submit a contribution to an entry that is already in the database.
Later, you attempt to resubmit the information (without withdrawing) thinking that you may have made a possible error, but then decide you actually hadn't, so you don't click "Submit".
You then go and look under "Contributions" and the entry still shows there but has been cleared, i.e. "Received" and "Votes" are gone and blank.
Is this a bug, or is there actually some perplexing purpose to it? First, I would go to "My Profiler" and check out the notes. If they looked okay I would just log out or go back to forums. Yes, you do need to be logged in on the web to actually submit a contribution. I think this is apparently a different bug than the contribution's disappearing completely mentioned elsewhere in this thread. These don't really "disappear" completely and are still visible on the contributions page It just clears all the contributed material and makes it blank, automatically withdrawing it. Yes, you do need to be logged in on the web to actually submit a contribution.
