"Two Weeks Notice" was first non-snapper-cased Warner title, so tipi is right and NO-vote he received was a direct violation of contribution rules.

"Well, it's now official, the Warner Snapper case is dead. Many thanks to an industry insider who's sent over a couple of scans from the pages of a Trade magazine, the bottom line is that from the 1st of September starting with the release of "2 Weeks Notice", all Warner releases will be in "red Tag" case. This case developed by the manufacturer of the Amaray incorporates a locking mechanism that can only be opened by a matching "detacher" that the retailer uses upon purchase. We understand that the locking mechanism will be optional so that retailers (such as on line retailers) who don't want to display live product will not have to.

Following the release of "2 Weeks Notice" all Warner titles will have the packaging and back issue titles will start to be converted over to "Red Tag" cases."

I don't know what that "Red Tag" case actually is, all the Warner-releases since that are released here in Finland in standard Amaray keep-cases.

Well, that person who voted "no", was the subject of this discussion.
Somehow I would not trust what he says, and for PMing him - at least before he has not been known for the most civilized co-operative discussion skills...

Understood, tipi.

Spartacus:

I can't speak for Finland, but the initial release of Two Weeks in R1 was indeed a snapper.

For Trinitron:

There are a lot of possibilitites here, I can't tell, it looks like yours is R2 & R5. Where you bought it could have an impact. If I buy an R1 disc from a Canadian reseller, it will be Region 1 and will play just fine, but  it will probably be a Canada Locality release not a US release, this could be what you is happening with Two Weeks. The problem is you have a bad reputation for deliberately trying to manipulate the database to suit yourself, including many attempts to stuff the votes, so your credibility is beyond LOW.

I never belived this day would come. Yes, indeed, it looks like trinitron is right this time, in case the photograph is genuine, there are quite nice tools for manipulating pictures nowadays, you know.

There is no doubt that DVD on the picture is a Finnish release. Looks like the title of chapter listing is "Kohtausluettelo", which means "chapter listing" in Finnish. Of course one cannot be sure just by looking the chapter index that the cover really belongs to Two Weeks Notice -dvd. Notice, that he didn't show us a picture of DVD-covers, where it is pretty obviously seen that both the title and the overview are written in Finnish, not in English as he wishes to contribute.

This comment does not change my attitude against him in any way. I still think he ought to be banned, during one week he's managed to destroy dozens of profiles by contributing incorrect information and by contributing profiles that violate the contribution rules in many ways.

I wouldn't think so for two reasons:

1. The picture linked by Trinitron makes a strong point, but I can understand the scepticism directed towards anything this user says or does.

2. The information provided below is a thrid party source, and it might well be that "Two Weeks Notice" was actually the last Snapper title and all following were Keep Cases. Especially since the quote from the article supports both approaches (see below, I bolded the relevant parts).

Quote:
"Well, it's now official, the Warner Snapper case is dead. Many thanks to an industry insider who's sent over a couple of scans from the pages of a Trade magazine, the bottom line is that from the 1st of September starting with the release of "2 Weeks Notice", all Warner releases will be in "red Tag" case. So basically, 1st the article tells you that "2 Weeks Notice" is the first Keep Case title, but in the next paragraph they tell you that all the following titles will have a different packaging.

Quote:

"Red Tag" is a security mechanism applied as an extra to amaray cases. Basically, a red plastic strip is put through the case, covering the DVD-lock (that lil' button in the middle) preventing the removal of the disc. This was introduced to replace the big plastic boxes DVDs used to be displayed in (remember those?). Since this mechanism requires holes in the sides of the case itself, The snapper case with its cardboard spine couldn't be used, as the locking mechnism wouldn't have been secured well enough against removal itself. For further info, see here.

I didn't like this users behavior in the past, but this is only about correct data, and not about who it comes from.

Trinitron:

I hope you learn something from this thread. The ONLINE database is the personal playground of none of us, and in the past you have treated it as if it was your toy and would look like you wanted it to, right down to vote stuffing. It will be a long time, I suspect, before any users are willing to trust you and this will only happen if you play by the same Rules we all do. Notice that while we are all skeptical, and justifiably so, we cooperatively come up with the correct answer.

It's up to you, guy.

There maybe two different editions of Two Weeks Notice.
The disc information of his submission is different than mine.
Mine is accurate (at least for my disc, as I personally checked it). It is possible that Trinitron's is acuurate also, and there are two different editions of the disc.

tipi:

Given that it is a Warner release, presuming everything I have seen is correct, the ORIGINAL release would be the Snapper and yours if it is in a Keeper would be a re-release, Per the Rules the data Online, in the event of a Duplicate UPC/EAN is for the ORIGINAL release including Cover data. You should, of course, maintain data specific to the one you bought locally.

I am bumping up this old thread to ask if anyone has had any problems with "Trinitron_FX68-8." lately?

I recently contributed the images and very minor changes to "Deadwood: Season 1" (UPC:  7-332431-019058) and the said user gave me a negative vote, saying I had the cast wrong. Now, the only thing I had changed was to add the role for Keith Carradine and it certainly wasn't wrong. I tried PM'ing him about it, but never got an answer.

It is only one profile and not a too serious matter (I can try again!), but I would like to know if any other (Finnish) users have had problems with this guy and if so, can anything be done about it?

Not lately. I have even given at least one (maybe more) yes vote to his contributions.

But then, voting no with explanation "cast wrong" is not very helpfull. A little more explanation what is wrong would be much better. These one or two word explanations are quite typical of him.

Trinitron dear, I have no problem submitting the changes again, don't think too highly of yourself.

Im fighting the "famous" Trinitron_FX68-8. at the moment. He keeps contributing the wrong title for the australian region 2/4 release of Gilmore Girls: The Complete Sixth Season (he insist on calling it Gilmore Girls: Season 6). He obviosly does not care, what the cover says. He has now been declined 3 times, but he tries again and again.

Is there any possible way of having him banned from contributing this paticular profile? Or will he eventually get his way, if I am not around to vote "no" for a couple of days?

Yes, why not ban him when is continuously voting no because our contributions does not please him.

I am trying to correct Finnish title and overview for Employee of the Month/Kuukauden koheltajat.

Thanks Takaikkuna, for reminding me that I had totally forget to add that masterpiece in my collection. Done, and while it is finally in my collection I might as well cast a YES-vote for your contribution...
