Better yet, enter PASSKEY50 to get a 50% discount for PassKey for DVD & Blu-ray.
The Lifetime license costs $52.80.

Wow, nice. Will have to jump on that. I've tried a couple discs and although it takes a bit longer compared with AnyDVD HD, it still works.

Let me see if I understand: I think this means that if I purchase a lifetime passkey, I get an activation code that unlocks all of the non-free DVD Fab products?

PassKey is just DVD Fab's version of AnyDVD HD.

Oh, I was trying to make a quick decision, so as not to miss the promotion. So I didn't take the time to read completely. Thanks.

That's very tempting... any idea how long the code is valid for?

No idea, frankly, I had just looked at the footer of the page and there was a link that said AnyDVD Alternative and on it was the normal offer plus the checkbox I currently use AnyDVD and voila 50% off.

Nice catch. I had actually seen that page before but missed the bottom part with the checkbox.

Wow, that's the same as one year of support from RedFox.

I'll take AnyDVD over DVDFab any day, yearly subscription or no.

Well, for what I need it to do, taking screen caps, it works for me. Don't know how it does with back ups however.

Still, any reason why? I just don't see the value in paying $50/yr versus PassKey which is $52 and change for "lifetime" subscription.

I just downloaded the latest version 7.6.9.2 from https://www.redfox.bz/ and it didn't cost anything for Slysoft subscribers.

For now. Reading the forum, looks like the subscription part is still happening.

Many people regard DVDFab/Passkey to be an inferior product. Slysoft developers have accused DVDFab of "copying" from AnyDVD. Mostly based on the incidents where discs would come out with new protections on them, and after some number of days where neither Fab nor AnyDVD works, AnyDVD will come out with a new version that works, and 1 - 2 days later, Fab is updated. There have also been cases where Fab posted a fix first, but it wasn't working correctly, until AnyDVD posted a working update. One developer commented shortly after SlySoft closed and AnyDVD's future was uncertain that they were uncertain how long Fab/Passkey would work as an alternative since they no longer have AnyDVD "to look at".

Fab also has a history on their forums, for outright banning users over the mere mention of AnyDVD, anywhere on their forums. SlySoft discourages mentioning Fab but would never ban someone just for mentioning it (unless they're a spammer or troublemaker), and they even have a "Third Party Products" forums where you can talk about programs like Fab as much as you want.

It's also just things like the interface, the streamlined simplicity of the product (no bloat), etc., that for many people, myself included, makes AnyDVD desirable over Fab/Passkey.

I've used both programs since 2007 and I MUCH prefer AnyDVD over Fab. I can't remember the last time I even touched Fab.

It's worked fine for my needs at this point. Not saying it's a great product, and can't attest to how it does with backups since I don't use it, or AnyDVD HD for that matter, for that reason, I just can't support what RedFox is proposing at a cost of $50/yr. If PassKey goes out then I just won't be able to do screen caps. Oh well.

I think that Invelos/DVD Profiler should introduce an annual subscription even if it is only $10US. I am sick of all these sites that give lifetime keys and then go belly up - ie: AnyDVD, Catraxx. I don't want to see this site go under.

I would support it, if Invelos would finally prohibit lists of people displayed anywhere as a source for Cast and Crew. My Cast section is already a complete mess.

It would take more than that for me to pay a monthly fee. Lately I feel I got screwed with what I paid for a lifetime key.
