Greetings:

(Are we still allowed to dream on here?)

I'd like to be able to import Parent DiscIDs from Child DiscIDs. (Or at least import DiscIDs by another method than just using a drive.)

Vice-versa, too. I don't have a drive that can get IDs for UHD.

Not sure if this helps you: BulkEdit Collection > Flagged > Clone Children from DiscIDs

I have an open question in the BulkEdit thread, asking for suggestions for next release. Not sure if you use BulkEdit, or would want to, but now is the time to request whatever you need. If you make a request, the more explicit you can be, the better - i.e. an example.

Oh, sweet!  A little trial and error, and then that worked like a champ.  Well, at least setting the parent DiscIDs from the child DiscID.

Flagged all the profiles, went into the sheet, and just copied and pasted.  (I ran into a couple of access violations, but I'm assuming that's because the current plug-in is for 3.9+ and not 4.0)

Thanks for the tip and plug-in mediadogg

Well that's what I do ... helping you do what you do - called teamwork.

By the way, if you ever get the time to grab a screen shot of one of those access violations, I would appreciate it.

And I just read the contribution rules. For Box Sets, you don't include the DiscID in the main profile.  You do for TV sets, though.

So, I did "Prime Suspect", a TV show. That gets uploaded.

My box set of Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz/World's End does not. (Doesn't mean I can't keep it local.)

I'll try to hit you up with an error later this week. I'll make sure to include the steps I took to create it.

Hey Sevens:

Thought just occurred to me.  Going FROM Parent TO Child should be failry straight forward.  You can copy the parent profile, paste only the DiscIDs to the child, and then going into the child and remove the extra pasted ones.
