Hello.  This is my first post as I've only just purchased DVD Profiler after using Collectorz for many years.

My collection is over 1,000 titles and I was wondering if there's any way to import my Collectorz data directly into Profiler.  Collectorz has a number of different export modes.

Is this feature already available and I'm just not seeing it; is it something for future development, or is there a hack to achieve the same result.

Many thanks,
Wayne Collett

Others would know better than I, but I believe the BulkEdit plugin will import Collectorz data.

Thanks Scott.  I found the BulkEdit plugin but it's proving a bit of a mystery to use.  I can't see how I can go directly from Collectorz export to Profiler.  I expect the differences in field names will require some massaging but does anyone have experience into what steps you need to go through.

Thanks, Wayne

The conversion is automatic. CZ is automatically recognized. Check the BulkEdit thread for recent activities resulting in an update to BulkEdit (not yet released) due to a massive change to CZ XML format. Contact me via PM. I am very busy, but this is one of my interest areas, so I can always find time.

I got information from the user that the original import sort of worked, however I was not able to get more detailed information so that I could make improvements. A shame, since the new code for importing Version 2 of CZ might be able to be retrofitted into the code for importing Version 1. Out of respect for privacy, I could never require that a user send me the entire exported database, but a partial export containing some examples of profiles that failed to be recognized, would have been very helpful.
