I don't think you'll find any disagreement with that, but I'd advise you to not hold your breath while waiting.
In fact, I can't recall any rules updates that didn't accompany a program update, if you really want your hopes dashed.

There was a false claim in the contribution note that everyone else just took (as they should have been able to) as correct. I sincerely hope that one "no" vote is enough to prevent the update.

The one point you make that I agree with is that Invelos should stop selling DVD Profiler if development and product support are dead. The fact that you must purchase it for a fully functioning application suggests that at the very least you should be able to get product support.
