Neither of the existing images are mine and I believe the existing front cover may not be a scan. I did provide a comment... is there something wrong with what I left because that's never been a problem. As you mention the existing back cover isn't even from the slipcover.
Your original submission was both extensive and detailed and you made use of verbs such as "corrected", "added", to explain your changes, with the exception of the comment for cover scans.
"Front and back scans of the slipcover" is OK if there were no existing scans, but inadequate if you were replacing existing scans (there needs to be a reason).
You already identified deficiencies in the existing scans, so why not help the screener and voters by detailing those deficiencies and use a verb such as Replaced or Upgraded scans to spell out your action more clearly.
EXAMPLE:
Replaced existing front cover (web artwork) and existing back cover (invalid scan of HD keep case cover) with high quality scans of actual slip cover.
It will make your submissions more bullet-proof.

My understanding is you need to provide a reason(s) when upgrading existing scans.
I downloaded the profile in question, and it was clear to me the current back cover was not a slipcover scan but a scan of the internal keep case cover still inside the plastic jacket (500x588 pixels). The current front cover (500x625 pixels) was from the slipcover, but the black levels looked washed out like charcoal.

I can't help but feel too much significance is given to the optional status of the child profile. Put simply, it reduces the workload.
With regards to features, I saw no difference to it being optional or mandatory, the result would still be the same, the child features would remain exclusively on the child profile. You still won't see the child's features in the main media.
The optional status does not magically transforms the child into a bonus material disc, it still remains a main feature disc.
The fear of missing out or inconvenience or lethargy are not valid rules and any reference to rules covering TV Series are not applicable to our discussion on the combo set rule and its consequences.

This is not unusual, a recent example was the 4K release of Ben-Hur which was spread across two 4K discs.
The new Kill Bill film was just a director's cut of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol: 2 combined, with some new scenes, extended scenes and deleted scenes (like the cliffhanger scene at end of Vol. 1 and the recap at the start of Vol. 2).
Just treat the release as a 4K/Blu combo set for a single film and add the the 4K discs in the disc info section as "Main Feature - Disc 1" and "Main Feature - Disc 2", the 4K run time will be the total run time of both 4K discs.
Adding the child Blu-ray to the box set contents of the 4K profile is tricky, so marcelb7's suggestion of adding the Disc 1 Blu-ray ID only to the 4K profile has some merit. You would have to configure the child Blu-ray Disc 1 profile (but add both Blu-ray disc IDs into that profile).
Alternately, you could configure both Blu-ray discs but the title would have to have a suffix like Title - Disc 1 and Title - Disc 2 and then add both disc profiles to the 4K box set contents. This would be my preference.

The original theatrical release was at the 2002 Toronto Film Festival as a special presentation, confirmed by VARIETY's trade film review dated Sep 12, 2002.
Film's country of origin does not play a part in determining original theatrical release date.

Sounds like SQLite is performing disk writes for each row and slowing things down. Did you check the default settings in SQLite to prioritize speed over data safety when bulk loading records. Commit/rollback processes and logging for each record may need to be turned off.
Maybe the AI engine can help you speed up the import process (yes, its another suggestion, hopefully not Godzilla size). I looked at your screenshots and profile and I believe Huskersport was correct about the original title.
The Finnish DVD title was "Van the Man", and you entered that correctly from the front cover.
However, the field labelled "alkuperäinen nimi" was for the original film title, and you entered "Van Wilder: Party Liaison".
This is the specific rule for Original Title:
"... For profiles which have an alternate title displayed on the cover, use the title from the film's credits. For titles released outside their country of origin, use the original release title."
So, if the film you watched displayed "Van Wilder: Party Liaison", that was indeed different from the cover title, however, this was a title released in Finland, so you need to check whether "Van Wilder: Party Liaison" was the same title used initially in the film's country of origin (United States).
And the answer is, it was not a match, because the original title used in the United States was National Lampoon's Van Wilder, as per the following references:
