Every once in a while when I enter the UPC code it does not recognize the DVD. When I manually type in the title and add it I can then go to the profile and choose "Refresh Profile and Images" and it will download the info.

I haven't really cared but I noticed when going through my collection that my "Bad Santa" cover had a water mark on it. When I went to update it the program said it could not download the profile, some error or something. When I chose to renistall the profile after deleting the current it didn't recognize the UPC (786936240467) so I did what I wrote earlier and it downloaded the profile and covers. I just wonder how many more titles I have in my collection that need updating and are not getting it because of this.

Also Kung Fu Hustle Axe-Kickin' Editon doesn't seem to be in the database. Is there a way to do a download of a complete new "base" database, versus a "Refresh" of existing. I have tried the "Repair DVD Profiler Database" funtion which did not help this problem.

All help appreciated. Thanks.

When was the last time you performed a "Refresh the Online Profile List"? If you click on DVD>Add to Collection, then "Add by Title", how many titles are there for Total DVDs and Filtered DVDs?

Now that's odd. I'm only showing 307,120 for both

That number sounds about right - in fact it's more than I get!
But I get no problems with that UPC - it brings up a Bad Santa profile straight away, so I'm not sure what's going on with your database.

As for Kung Fu Hustle, it looks like quite simply, no one has submitted it yet for the online database.

Edit: I get 307,792 titles before filtering

"Download profile from Invelos" is checked when you enter the UPC right? And you don't have AnyDVD running in the background? Although I think AnyDVD only affects Disc IDs. Can't think of anything else.

As for resetting your online collection:
I believe this is possible by deleting 2 files: OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod - you should find both files inside the DVD Profiler folder in "Application Data" (for XP anyway, not sure what OS you're using).
Please backup before trying this!!!

I'll give it a try. Will report back later with new totals or total failure .

Ralston, just a thought, but you're not trying to add them in version 2.4 are you? Cos that database had over 320,000 entries before they stopped updating it, and that won't contain any new titles.

Thanks for the replies. No I'm not running 2.4. I will try the delete and download to see if it works, and yes I do have a backup, thanks. Is there a way to have the DVD total and Filtered match?

Yes, just make sure your region and locality are both set to "any". It only matters when adding by title anyway, as adding by UPC checks the whole database regardless.

Well, I finished downloading the online profile list after deleting both the OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod and now with any region selected my total is slightly less than before . It was 307,120 and now it's at 306,339 .

I've done the same and got the same (306,339) so I guess Ken and Gerri have been deleting quite a few bad entries!

306,339 and 69,167 respectively, and yes, Bad Santa's UPC now works. I'm not sure this will solve all my problems, but so far this is a step forward. THANKS!
