Looking good.  Physical media for the win!  And nice jukebox.

More and more of my collection is winding up on my Plex server.  I think I have about 15 TB of video files on there so far.

Dell PowerEdge T430, very nice.  That's one sexy beast!

And speaking of storage capacity, I recently upgraded mine.  Well, my disc based storage.  Added a couple more Sony BDP-CX7000ES 400-disc Blu-ray Players to my setup.  Have 13 total now in addition to 6 Sony DVP-CX985V 400-disc DVD Players.  (Not counting the DVD changers) that's 260TB of disc based storage, 20TB per unit.  Well, if each disc were a maxed out BD50.

(See my Blu-ray.com forum post here to learn more about how I'm cataloging my collection, then in turn browsing for and initiating playback of a given disc.  I do touch on that here as well, a few posts back.  My recent Blu-ray.com forum post provides a more in-depth look though.)

Thank you. It's been alot of work. Down to the small finish work. There is also another cabinet with VHS tape movies and Selectavison Discs.

I've likewise got my collection stored on a Plex server though I've used Handbrake to convert the raw MKV files to h.265. Takes a 25GB MKV to 4-6GB. I've got 1,121 movies taking up 4.32 TB of storage which used to take over half of my 54TB NAS, freeing up enough space that I could take out a 6TB drive from the array and use it as a hot spare.

I have a little over 2200 movies on my Plex server so far, and like you am using Handbrake to convert the MKV files -- h.265 for Blu-rays and H.264 for DVDs.  I still have a little over 400 movies to go (plus whatever I buy from time to time.)  I only have about half of my TV series done yet though.

I've had a really good success rate with the h.265 version though the new RDJ Doolittle movie keeps freezing in different fixed spots playing through Plex. Never been able to figure it out, using a different compression ratio didn't help any. Movies with multiple parts (such as multi-disc) had to be omitted on most because joining the MKV's together prior didn't work due to different encodings.
