| Posted: | | | | Hello, I'm new here I'm going to use DVD Profiler and have tried several before, I was thinking it would be really nice though if DVD Profiler had better support for box sets (i.e., it would be nice to be able to search for a title and find out I already have it if it's in a collection or box set) and maybe even support for other movie formats like CED, LaserDisc or VHS. I've tried Delicious Library, MyMovies.DK, DVDpedia and a few legit (bootleg) video store software on Apknite, none have handled box sets satisfactorily. |

Don't know what made you think otherwise. - You can add custom media. If the same title is available in the online database (as DVD or Blu-ray), you can download that and just copy the cast, crew and relevant data from there. There may be some fields that are not relevant, but you can just ignore those. You cannot upload custom media profiles to the online database, though. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. If they're only using the mobile app, it has issues searching for a title within a box set. The desktop is great, but on the app if I'm looking for North by Northwest and it's inside the Alfred Hitchcock Collection it won't pull it up if I type in "North," I have to type in "Alfred" and then click on the set to see what's inside. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

I just tried searching for particular titles in boxsets in the Android app and it seems to work fine (search for Dr. No and it comes up even though it's in my Bond boxset) |
