Ah, I can't remove them them as it would remove the photo from a profile that hasn't been updated for the common name.  In essence, they aren't bad entries.

But this has gotten my mind tinkering, I wonder if I can create a ColdFusion script that'll run the names through the CLT to see if any return in zero hits and I can remove those.  Wondering if it's really worth it in the grand scheme of things.  I would need to meter the checks to prevent overloading the site and would need Ken's permission too.

No, please don't do that. A lot of people are using names different from the CLT because of it's flaws. Or they use different common names for Asian names. etc etc. Those people would suffer if you automatically erase headshots from alternative good common names ( ). Just leave them in, if someone wants to remove them it's dead-easy with the database repair.

I agree... I prefer having some "unnessessary" headshots instead of missing some "nessessary" ones.

Yup, but that's the one drawback to compacting your database to get rid of unused cast & crew with headshots, you have to re-import the HMDB database to get them or jump through hoops to have one or two databases just for the headshots and creating dummy profiles to preserve the headshots you want to import into your main collection.

Hey guys.
First off, thanks for all your hard work. Second, I just had to get a new computer, and decided instead of loading my old collection back in, I would start again. I just downloaded this file, but can't figure out how to use it. The only instructions I found was how to add updates to the existing scans, but I can't figure out how to add the existing file to my collection.
Am I missing something?

Edit:
I tried opening the file under "restore database", but it wouldn't work. An error message came up.

It just basically said that it cannot open the file. I running Vista Home Premium 64 Bit. Not sure if that matters.

I tried that but it still didn't work  ...Maybe someone could give me a step-by-step on how to upload the file into Profiler? Maybe I'm still doing something wrong.

Just making sure but did you unzip the database before trying to import it?
