| Posted: | | | | After waiting years on the hopes that a BlackBerry version of DVDP would be released, I finally switched to a Droid Charge. So now I am officially moving myself to the Android waiting line. I haven't had DVDP mobile for probably 3 or 4 years now and I really miss it!
At this line has had some indications that an app for the OS is being worked on. Never even had that to hold on to in the BB waiting line! |

| Posted: | | | | I am soon to upgrade my cell phone and would love to be able to choose Android...are you thinking about developing the DVD Profiler app for that OS? I don't think Android is going away any time soon. |

| Posted: | | | | Moved to Android from WM. +1 on Android.
The online solution is crippled not only because of necessity of data connection (sometimes I'm abroad and need full access to my collection in a store), but also because online is not updated to reflect the categories you create on the desktop as the WM was. So I don't know right away what is BD, what is DVD etc. |

| Posted: | | | | The new Android 2.3 platform is far better than the new iPhone4 (don't want to start a war, but I have both so I feel I can state my opinion!) so I am wondering what it takes to get an Android version of DVD Profiler Mobile. Would begging help????
My I4 is for work only so I can't install anything personal... and really don't want to. Android is for personal and far more response and versatile. I want to carry my DVD inventory in something more than csv/xls/etc. |

Used the Windows version for years and more recently bought the iOS version for my iPod Touch, which was great. Now I have an Asus Transformer and DVD Profiler was one of the first apps I looked for in Android Market. Sad to see it wasn't there. |

| Posted: | | | | New to the smartphone scene here, so here's a noobs view. I've been a DVD profiler user (purchaced product) for MANY years. Best program ever for my DVD collection. I just bought my first smart phone, Samgsung Vibrant and the first thought I had was "great, not I can get the mobile version of this!" I was surprised there's no app for this in 2011. Even more surprised when I came here and saw there was nothing available thru the developer, yet they are still developing for WINDOWS MOBILE? Not able to allocate the time to read thru 29+ pages of posts, has there been any official word on this with a time frame or ANYTHING? | | | Last edited: by broderp |

| Posted: | | | | I'm also waiting and looking forward to see an DVDP version for my android phone. DVDP is very easy to use both on PC and windows mobile, so i'm not interrested in app form other than invelos . Until the invelos app is available I'll go to my online dvd database uploaded from DVDP from my android phone to avoid purchasing dublicate movies |

| Posted: | | | | Something else I think that needs to be taken into account here as well, is that there are now Android universal remotes being released.
Tablets with IR blasters being built in.
Vizio is due to release soon ( $350 July 2011 release )
and TouchSquid http://touchsquid.com/index.htm
The TS unit will have an SDK for developers to play with the IR functions, it is unknown how locked up the Vizio unit will be but given the geek factor for Android I would imagine Open Source bit will make its way out.
But what this would mean is that you can now have a URC w/ DVDP interacting together to control your media.
Having it do something very much like LoadDVD does now, with machine and media control.
I am on a few Home Theater forums and DVDP seems to be very popular having some sort of android app that will allow collection control maintenance and plg in controls like the PC version has would make for a outstanding product combo.

| Posted: | | | | I so wish you would managed to get out an android app really soon. It would help me not completely trashing my new phone and computer in pure frustration from trying out all the apps that claim to be able to get your dvd-profiler collection on to your phone. Please hurry before i do something i will regret. |

What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived." |

| Posted: | | | | Yes... we need to get on the band wagon!
Use one of the apps for barcode scanning and keep on going. Even if it used the web version to update. Hopefully you would be in a store that had celluar service. (not always though)
Well even if the database was on the phone, not the images, you could still look to see if you had it. |

| Posted: | | | | With Android HTC phone and Android tablet it is irritating to be held out of access to my profiler account because Apple has priority. Wake up Invelos, you are lacking behind here! When will we see the Android app? | | | Kjell |
