 | | Posted: | | | | | | | Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote:Funny you mention that.  I actually did have a much harder time with the Road Rage events.  But I've always hated those and haven't played in a while.  I was also using the Island cars to do it.  I think I finally ended up switching to the Calvary (1st car) to do them just to get them done.
I used to enjoy Road Rage, loads of animated crashes and frantic gameplay. But as I said, it's the short roads on the island that make it difficult. Going over the bridge solves that problem... I used the Inferno Van for maximum armor. Quote:I also had a problem with Stunt Runs.  But I think that had more to do with being unfamiliar with the Island.  In the other part of the city, I already have some routes worked out and just always headed there.  So I was in unfamiliar territory.
If you had problems then what should I say...? But yes, it's clearly being unfamiliar, which improved while trying though. Took me multiple attempts as well but the last one was my best one ever, 50x and 5,000,000points Quote:I also had to do a few of the races multiple times.
Those are fun though and made me the leqast trouble. I raced with the Dune Buggy, which is fun to see as all opponents are Dune Buggies as well. Quoting NewEnglander: Quote:What is the best car to use, one that is easy to control. I tried one that would spin out everytime I hit gas.
It's a tip from Mark, but ever since I am actually able to complete Stunt Runs: Use the Cavalry. It can take some damage and is slow(!), so less likely to crash or spin out of control. Then I even drive slow and only hit the gas when approaching bigger jumps. | | | | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative)

It was in one of the podcasts, so I knew and did them. | | | | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative)

 | | Posted: | | | | | | | Yes, I already did them.
Except for some trophies, I've completed everything possible in the game.  102% on my Burnout license, 101% for bikes, 100% for the Island, all 500 online challenges, etc.  I'm still missing trophies from Cops & Robbers, the toys cars (except for the ones I've been able to complete with the Island toy cars) and the Boost Specials.  Only because I've never purchased those add-ons.  When/if I do get them, I'll get those trophies as well.

 | | Posted: | | | | | | | While not eactly about Burnout I thought it's easier to just revive this thread: Seems like Criterion were not laying back since the release of the Island (see what I did there...?). They have been working on a new title in the Need for Speed series, which certainly needed fresh blood since the critical failure of last year's Need for Speed: Undercover (I understand this year's need for Speed: Shift was already a highlight again).Source | | | | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | | Posted: | | | | | | | I wish they were working on the next Burnout.  Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if a small team was already getting it going.
I should get my Burnout out again.  I've not touched it since finishing the island (looks like around late June).

 | | Posted: | | | | | | | Actually, I expect that the next Need for Speed will equal the next Burnout. I mean, the latest NfS went the simulator route, which is not original style for the series, so why not do something of the Burnout style...? I would think they hired the team for a reason... Think: Need for Speed: Burnout | | | | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative)

 | | Posted: | | | | | | | I hope so.  I really enjoyed Burnout, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of the same only better. | | | | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.
