All Cast from the episodes' opening titles (last documentary: subtitles). All Crew from the episodes' end credits. Studios from the episodes' opening titles (BBC) and end titles (the latter applies to the two extra studios for Life on Earth). Media companies from the back cover (BBC Worldwide) and the DVD opening titles for Animals (Impact). Total running time 27:56:34 (verified using PowerDVD). Production year: oldest production in the set is Life on Earth, which first aired in 1979. Video format, audio tracks (I listed DD Stereo, as that applies to most discs; however some early documentaries are Mono and Animals is DD 5.1 and also has a DD 5.1 Mandarin track) and subtitles (only Chinese for Animals) verified using PowerDVD. | | Posted: | | | | Changed production year to the correct one. Even the back cover does mention the original air date between the 5th of January and the 9th of February 1995. About the 1979 year, chances are this is regarding the documentary The Secret Life of Plants, which was released between 1978 and 1979. This documentary however has nothing to do with the documentary The Private Life of Plants by Sir David Attenborough, which is in fact the documentary mentioned in this profile.
