I've just had a contribution totally vanish from my list of them that are up for voting on. At first I assumed I'd somehow accidentally withdrawn it (fat fingers on a keyboard syndrome), but it's not showing up as Withdrawn in my list, it's just vanished. It had been there for about half an hour and even had a 'green vote' on it. I've resubmitted it now, but I'm a bit baffled. Anyone got any suggestions as to what went wrong?  Can't say I've seen this happen before and the update is a minor one so it wasn't a bother to redo, but I'm just curious.
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...

Hello. It's 5-014503-155223. I have contributed it again and it seems fine. Have three votes now but none by the person who voted for the 'lost' version. It may have been ateo357 but I could be wrong, I just remember the name had three or four numbers in it.

Odd. Looking at the contribution notes, it shows two from you:

I also see two contributions from you yesterday with the notes "There's a Play All option available via the on-screen menus."

Not sure if it's related, but a couple of days ago I looked at All Pending Updates, and there was nothing, even though I had several pending contributions (which did show under My Contributions). So, there has been some issues with the web site.

I can only see one when I look at the list of my current and recent contributions, but when I click on the white notepad icon to the left I get the list of of the previous and current contributions from everyone and both of mine (with different times) are there, although the earlier one (when I press the "Evaluate this contribution" link) says it's already been processed. But if this was the case then it ought to appear in my list current and recent contributions.

Oh well, it's just another of life's mysteries. Thanks everyone for your time  and thoughts.

That is how the contributions look if you submit the same profile without withdrawing the previous submission. ( which is what you did when you could not see the first contribution)
