I'm having a problem setting the CoO of most of Stanley Kubricks movies. I'm not sure which where shot/produced/financed "in" the US and which "in" the UK. I'm also not sure what's the decisive factor here. What if a movie was shot in the UK with an UK crew but by a US company? I got confused even more because some movies that seem to have been produced by US companies got BAFTA awards :/

anyone know a good source for this info?

I would go by the first production company credited. Wherever this company is based would define the country of origin.

after 1960 all Kubrick-movies are produced from UK-companies (maybe for US-companies, but that doesn't count here)

ah, Schüren gotta support the local company

thanks for the 1960 date (from Lolita on, right?), but is this also true for his last one Eyes Wide Shut?

EWS: Due to Stanley Kubrick's fear of travel virtually the entire film was shot in and near London (despite the movie's New York setting). Elaborate street sets built at Pinewood Studios were used for all the scenes showing Tom Cruise walking around the city.

I'm not saying the UK is wrong, but just because he made the films here doesn't mean the production companies were based here.
I know macacid has said they are UK companies, but does anyone know what they are called?

As I said, I don't know UK is wrong, in fact I'd tend to agree, as his long-time exec. producer (and brother in-law) Jan Harlan also lives in this country. I'd just like to see more than locations mentioned.
