| Posted: | | | | By default, the SRP and Disc Info are locked once they are filled in. The lock icon in General Info does not make any distinction and is turned on more often than I find useful. Or do people use this the other way around, and generally have everything locked? In order to avoid discrepancies, I prefer to lock only info that I know and want to be contradictory to info in the database.
Would it be possible to select a subset of fields for which the combined lock status is then shown in General Info? | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | I have to admit I may not be reading your post right, but the lock icon in General Info does not mean that General Info is locked. It simply means that something is locked on the profile. If you right click on the icon and go into the lock menu, you'll see exactly what has been locked (they'll be ticked). |

Spot on northbloke, I personally have all my Owned Profiles locked for everything so as when I do an update I have to unlock what if anything I want updated. (got stung a couple of times with data from releases that overwrote my original releases). Better safe than sorry now. Steve |

| Posted: | | | | I think Hans' point is, that basically that icon is always "turned on" (for most users, anyway). As soon as you enter the SRP for a pre-release title, the automatic lock kicks in and there you go.
Personally I'd agree, that not seeing the lock icon for those two cases (SRP, Dsic-ID) would be nice, but not necessarily worth the effort... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I apologize for not being clear. I meant indeed that I need to enter every case to see what is actually locked, when scanning through a list. Probably not even an issue usually, but now that hundreds of cases needed to be checked...
And I agree, this is nothing major. | | | Hans |
