| | Posted: | | | | I'm trying to contribute an update to the parent and 6 child profiles for the First & Second Seasons collection of the series Family (1976-1980). Trouble comes in picking which studios to use.
Production studios: Icarus Productions & Spelling-Goldberg Productions.
Original Distributor: Columbia TriStar Television / Current logo on DVD episodes after end credits is Sony Pictures Television.
DVD Distributor: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
What should I do? Show Sony Pictures Television because of the logo even though SPT didh't have anythihg to do with Family? Or show Sony Pictures Home Entertainment which is the current DVD distributor?

List the Studios in the following priority.
* Theatrical Release Studio(s)
* Production Company(s)
* DVD Distribution studio(s) if there is room available.
Do not abbreviate Studio names. e.g, use Universal Pictures not just Universal; The Criterion Collection rather than Criterion or Criterion Collection; Walt Disney Pictures not just Disney or Disney DVD. Exception: If the studio name is too long to fit, use standard abbreviation rules.
There is further information about correct names for studios, and the opportunity to ask questions if unsure, in the Contributions forum.
It cannot be SPT because they had NOTHING to do with production of the show, I suppose one could argue that CTT did, but the facts are they did not. Therefore the answer is SPHE the DVD Distributor.
