How can I edit the correspondences between spanish rating and MPAA rating in order to an effective parenteral control?

Sorry but you can't. The ratings are controlled by Ken. If they're incorrect you could provide details and ask Ken to change them. If they're not I think your stuck.

Well... (sorry for my english)

In http://www.mpaa.org/FlmRat_Ratings.asp we can find the description of this ratings.
In http://www.mcu.es/cine/CE/Industria/CalificacionPeliculas.html we can find the spanish ratings (in spainish, of course) stablished by the Governmet (Ministerio de Cultura). In Spain only the pornographic films are forbidden to under 18 years. These ratings are only "orientatives".

In order on an effective parenteral control of the DVD collection, thinking in the common criteria of the spanish parents, I propuose the next equivalence:

MPPA rating --> Spainsh rating -->Spanish criteria
G --> TP -->(Todos los Públicos = all audiences)
PG --> 7 -->(not recomendated to under 7 years children)
PG-13 --> 13 -->(not recomendated to under 13 years children)
R
NC-17 --> 18 -->(not recomendated to under 18 years children)
Adult --> Adulto -->(porno, forbbiden to under 18 years)

So, when I stablish the definition of adult tilte selecting "NC-17" I can include in the Adults Titles the films that can be excessive violence, sex, aberrational behavior, drug abuse or any other elements which, when present, most parents would consider too strong and therefore off-limits for viewing by their children .

What is it you exactly want?

Each locality has its own ratings. Currently Spanish ratings in DVDP are T, 7, 13, 18, Adult, Not Rated. And eg. Finnish ratings are 3, 7, 11, 13/15, 18, Adult and NR. MPAA ratings are only for US releases. There is no need for one-to-one correspondence between the ratings, only Adult and NR must match.

The actual problem seems to be the Spanish translation of DVDP. You can make necessary corrections to the translation and then upload your new translation in the Downloads section of the web site.

Excuse me, but the parenteral cortrol has three (3) parameters to definied a title as "adult" in english:

Adult
Not Rated
NC-17

And I need 3 correspondences if I want that the parenteral control runs in Spain and in spanish... Somewhere, in the program these correspondences can be edited, and now, the NC-17 rating doesn´t match anything in spanish... If I selecet this option, any title dissapear... (and i have many!)
I can translate NC-17 as 18 or "toreador" but the parenteral control doesn't runs anyway because this option isn't relacionated with any of the ratings wich I can choose when I select Spain like default locality, and this is an internal program problem, not a translate problem.

And in spanish doesn't exist "T" like rating maybe "TP" (=Todos los Públicos), and I can't modify it anywhere

I hope be clear this time.
And sorry agin for my english

Carlos
