Could everyone please post the known resulting false names in this topic so we can search for them locally? I'll start with

Some users were unaware that this bug existed when they performed the repair function and then contributed profiles during the initial population of the new Invelos database. | | Posted: | | | | Um.. Dozens? Hundreds? Not sure exactly, and couldn't even begin to give a list of which specific titles, much less names, were affected. A pretty good chunk of them have been fixed, but I'm sure there's plenty still hanging around. I figure they'll get fixed as I or others go through redoing Cast & Crew since that has to be done anyway for most of my titles (adding dividers and such). |

Just to clarify, there are no "known resulting false" names... In the damaged crew lists one of the entries in that list had overwritten other entries. the cast lists were "doubled-up". Mh I've seen names being changed to something not currently part of the Profile. Like the Goldie example, all my Ninth Gate profiles contain it, Jane sth got replaced by it. Goldie What's wrong with Goldie? I have found him two times in my 3.0 database, once for "Snatch" and once for "Die neun Pforten". Both profiles have been transferred by myself from 2.5 to 3.0 and contributed. Goldie has also been listed in both of my 2.5 profiles which I believe have been up to date when transferred to 3.0. If those credits are wrong, they are not wrong because of a database bug, but because we have contributed incorrect data. | | | | Last edited: by RHo |

I did a full audit for Ninth Gate "back in the days" and it definitely did not include "Goldie". The correct actor for that role should be Jane Bradbury (I'll recheck this tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'm right here). Goldie IS correct though for Snatch (and The World is Not Enough). I'm not sure how it got into the online database, and I'm even more unsure about MY database (as I check every profile update manually), but there it is. | | | | - Jan |

| | Posted: | | | | Ah, stupid me, she's uncredited. Well, all internet sources say it's Jane, not Goldie. Not that I can proof any of them, so she'd have to be removed anyway. I unfortunately can't remember anymore what I did with uncredited in the profile back then, probably didn't check it and it was Goldie all the time. Just ignore this topic then  | | | | - Jan |

Hmmm, that would mean the bug caused more damage than previously expected... I've found quite a number of messed up crew lists with errors primarily in the director/producer slots. | | | John
