I've been running both 3.0.1 and 2.4 in parallel as others have done, but with the resolution of the recent "conflict" and the release of 3.0.3, I'm wanting to jettison the old database. As someone without solid tech savy, are there any considerations I should be aware of in deleting the older db? For instance, are there any "shared" files that could present problems during such a procedure?

I seem to notice that user data and images for 2.4 are filed in the software's primary operations folders under Programs, while with ver. 3.0.1 they are in separate folders under My Documents (on my local comp.). In both cases I kept the executables and related files in separate folders under Programs during the Invelos install in March.

I don't forsee any issues but I could be missing something. Am I ok here?

1. make a backup first of the 2.4 database (Important!)

2. Upload this backup to the 3.03 version, then most of the dvd will get in order without problems

3. search for the missing UPC numbers by titles....

if not working, then you can always use the old backup ;-)

for the images, maybe just re-add them to the missing profiles should be ok...

Essentially, yes... once all the data is Restored into 3.0 (including images) nothing from the old 2.x is required
It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong

Jebelis, don't you mean back up 3.0.1? I have significant amounts of new data (i.e. headshots, LOTS of headshots) entered into 3.0.1. Ver. 2.4 has older data that I would think is not necessary to save. I want to delete it.

I was planning on doing a last backup on my current version 3.0.1 in any case but didn't mention it.
