| | Posted: | | | | I bought a new PC running Windows Vista and I installed the latest version of DVD Profiler (Ver 3.0.3, build 1136).
I backed up my data base from my old computer which is running Windows XP and has Version 3.0.2, build 1124) of Profiler.
When I tried to restore my data base to my new computer I received an error and the restore aborted.
The error message is:
This file format is a later version than this programs version. The new format is incompatable with this version. To process this file, obtain a newer copy of DVD profiler.
Huh??? My file format is a "later" version!! How can my file format be a "later" version? Is it telling me that a data base created on Version 3.0.2 cannot be restored to Version 3.0.3?
Has anyone else encountered this anomoly? Is there a solution? Thanks. |

Also, have you run the database repair facility before you did the backup? Just suggestions.. not answers  | | | Signature? Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

| | Posted: | | | | Thanks for your suggestions, FunkyLA. I was finally successful after doing another full backup from my XP machine followed by a restore in the new one. It worked fine this time around. |
