Help!  I did an upload to my DVD Profiler collection before downloading the new version.  I dl the new version without a problem.  When I logged on to it...I had to get a new registration key.  My old one was for a 2.x version.  I got the new reg key just fine and the program works fine.  The problem is that when I went to dl my collection...it only allows me to upload.  The dl option is blocked out.  Somehow it is not finding my current uploaded on-line collection.  Can anyone help with this.  Doing it over again from scratch is a pain.  Thanks, Migg...

Also...I am old subscriber.  I have the unlimited access version.  I cannot even find my on-line collection.  I did not make a back up (yes, I know...) but when upgrading before, it never lost the connection to my on-line collection.  Somehow...I need help finding my on-line collection and then dl ing it to profiler.  HELP!!

The old collection is at Intervocative which is a completely separate site. You need to do a backup from 2.4 to restore it into 3.x. You can find out all the steps from here.  Unless you uninstalled 2.x, it is still on your system so you can make a backup. 3.x did not install on top of it.

Let me know if you need anything else.

The new version of the software is a new company/new website.  The uploaded collections between 2.x and 3.x go to completely different places.

What you're going to have to do is re-download 2.x and install and register it.  Download your online collection so you get all your movies back and then do a proper backup of your database through the software.  Then uninstall 2.x and reinstall 3.x and do a restore of your backed up database.  This will convert everything to the new database format used for 3.x.

Thanks All...2.4 was still on my pc.  I updated all the profiles, etc. then did the backup.  I reinstalled 3.0 and imported the backup.  Did an online update and presto....perfect.  Thank you for the help!!

One additional question...During the import into the new 3.0 it said 35 dvd's were flagged.  Something with the UPC could not be found.  How do I find those 35 DVD's again?  Can I fix them?

Super upgrade by the way!  The pictures are higher quality, the software is easy to use like before, and the layout is better.  Thanks for the upgrade!!

The UPCs/EANs could not be translated or the Disc ID was not available/unique.

For the former just correct the UPC by checking what it says on the cover.
For the latter put the disc in the drive and change the UPC to the disc ID of the Disc in the drive.

Assuming these are in the database you can then download the latest versions or, if they're not in the database or if your details are more up-to-date, you can contribute them to the database.
