They are now shipping a heavily eddited version of their films. To receive the real UNCENSORED version, you must fill out a form and clip off the UPC and attach it, whereupon they eventually mail you the real version with no packaging. The latest title is SSI:Sexy Squad Investigation UPC: 612385105593.

Will there be some way to add the real version when it arrives? Will the UPC be the same for both versions? Will we have some way to indicate if we own one or both?

They did this once before, but at the moment I don't remember the title.  What I got was a DVD in an envelope with no UPC on it.  I don't remember how I dealt with it, but if I get the chance tonight I'll check my local db and try to find that pesky disc.

BTW: The Unrated version of SSI: Sexy Squad Investigation has the UPC 612385-603693 according to the dvdlist at Home Theater Info.

Yes, I have the other one as well, but don't remember what it was. I just shoved it in the same keeper case.

I am guessing that they are having law inforcement problems due to selling to minors, hence the new policy. My biggest worry is that, by the time I get the real version, I will no longer have a record of the UPC at all.

Yes, I saw that, and thank you. I was just able to fill in about half of my titles startign with A that were not converted. Very useful list. With a collection as large as mine, I can't instantly put my hands on every title.

They've done this for a long time. They put out the R-rated edition in stores, and then you usually see a coupon/ad inside to order the Unrated DVD. They did ship me an Unrated disc one time...but sent me a DVD-R!

The dvdlist is also useful for upcoming titles - I download a new version of the prelist every week, then check for additions since the last week's download and pick out titles that interest me.
