| | Posted: | | | | Today 18th June 2007 after downloading the combined Headshot's file as compiled by Jouquim, I have found that I could either edit my cast / crew listing as per Jyyke suggestion...database repair to get rid of the erronious entries into the crew /cast database or do so by hand.
If I go down the repair route any cast / crew member that is not in my local database is removed, fair enough keeps down the bloat you might say...but then again if I purchased DVD xyz tommorrow and it has actors in it that were removed durring the repair I'd then have to re-enter, then re-repair...bit tedious.
What I would like to propose is a central database at Invelos for the cast / crew data that can only be added to by concensus...why you might ask, after adding the headshot's update that we the user's compiled between us some of you will find if you go into your cast / crew list that you have actors like
Episode 1
Bach Collegium Japan
Bach Collegium Munchen
etc, try listing Colin Farrel, my version gives my 5.
1 without a picture born in 1938
1 with a picture born 1938
1 with a picture born 1976
1 without a picture born 1976
1 with picture listed as Colin J Farrel
but all the pictures are Colin Farrel (Phone Booth)
So as I said I would like to see One Master Database for cast / crew whereby we don't end up with incident's like above.

Steve This would work OK for 'A-list' US actors, but what about adding the cast list for that new Danish action film? Or one from Finland or Iceland? Most of the cast and crew would not be in the database yet. If I had to get each actor/crew person added first, before I could add the data to the profile, I don't think I would spend all the time. pdf | | | Paul Francis

The various versions won't stop since these exist as a by product of the current submission process which requires credits to be entered as shown on the film screen on the dvd.
When we get a single name for each actor or crew member with the 'credited as' then hopefully this problem will diminish. | | | | Paul |
