I've had a look around the forums and I can't find a previous thread on this specific issue, so...

I have a few Japanese music/concert DVDs where the overview on the back of the case is written in kanji (or a combination of kanji and English). Generally this is just a list of the songs featured.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, DVD Profiler does not support Unicode text input for the overview, so directly transcribing the back cover into the overview field is not an option. What is the correct thing to do in these situations?

If I know or can source romanised versions of the song titles I've generally been using those for the overview (I can't read kanji so can't romanise them myself). Failing that, I've just been writing a brief summary (in English) of the contents.

I guess this also applies to any non-Latin alphabet that would require Unicode input, not just Japanese.

Correct. Write it yourself or source the data to ensure it matches the DVD. true for any non-Latin alphabet language.

I am currently looking for Overview (well, I used the ones form the Hong Kong release, but am not entirely pleased) and even worse Cast & Crew lists for Death Note: Complete Set, Taiwan Edition. End credits are all Japanese. Couldn't find a trustable online source yet. So far I am considering to collect everything I can grab from the Featurettes, as many actors are shown/mentioned and it's subtitled in English...
