Short answer  - no.

Long answer - I think if you use the export to XML plugin, then import the XML data into Excel you might get a result, but it's not something I've tried on the new version.

Not directly, there is however a Plugin to export to CSV, and a csv-file can be opened in Excel.

Well XML can be opened directly in Excel 2003 (after you create a XML map to get the data you want), so I'm guessing Excel 2007 should have the same thing, or similar.

There is a sorta fix in place for this with release 3.0.3, it is hidden in the DVD -> edit -> Personal Information tab, bottom two fields, Location and Slot.  (this location is not to be confused with location of ?playable?, this location is how you use it, I use it for storage/file location.

Steps to edit the field for each dvd are : Click on title to edit, click on DVD, click on Edit, click on Personal Information tab, click in location field, enter location text, click on Slot field, enter text, click OK, repeat.  For 500 discs that is painful.  In excel is one fill down for all 500 discs (just a point to work on improving software)

Another point is that currently I can not edit the location and slot fields for all my movie’s.  for reason on about 5% of the movies I can not edit those fields.  Another issue is to use the data, to put it into a report do the follow (several hours to track this one down – and copying an existing report didn’t work.)  Go to Reports, click on report to edit, click on Edit Report, click on the content tab, click on the DVD tab, add icon “Disc Information”  (why your personal info is with disc information is beyond me), but not done yet, then with the attributes listed on the left side turn Show Location to true, repeat for Show Slot, or turn both on for application controlled togetherness.

So issues that I can not fix with the application are:
1.) can not edit the location and slot fields for all movie titles
2.) can not create a report with movies left to right, as is done in the English language
3.) can not create correct entry for a DVD that doesn’t exist in your db (so far, my copy of transporter 2, xmen 2 (did find looking at x’s to see it was started as X2, not x-men, and my copy of 10/Tarzan dual movie disc
4.) can not find movie by a word in title, as apposed to start of title, (problems with movies in your database starting with “adventures of” or “national lampoon” instead of “Buckaroo Bonzai”, or “Vacation” ; M:2 instead of mission, AeonFlux – well every title with foreign letters in it really, xmen2, can find others if I review listing, but that is the jest of it, and reason for wish)
5.) can not create reports dropping the box title, just print out dvd titles (can watch the box, but not very exciting cardboard.)
6.) can not print out both movie titles to a dual disc (may be there, haven’t looked far on this one, will not go with solution of having each title show up at different locations on the report, like 10 at start of report and tarzan at end of report, have to be similar to boxed set)
7.) can not export the data to another program  (like excel where I must still print out valid reports from.)  or for any other reason (I put this here, because I review the xml output, and it is not viable for use without writing a program to read it, I am asking for the ability to drop select fields of data per dvd, (can be xml formatted).  I as a user, should not care that you as a company have region information nested, and should not have to wade through the just info, I just want a few fields, like title, sort title, disc count, video time, location, rating, and maybe something else, but really just title and location to find it.
8.) Another thing that would be neat to see would be better handling of TV boxed sets.  I really like to see my Season 1 of Simpsons listed with # of episodes.

Issue that i can work around but causes the most pain
1.) setting location for every dvd

quick add for the dual disc feature and boxed set issue, i like to see a count of how many movies/shows i have, how many dvd's i have, and how many items i have (i.e dvd case).
helps if someone asks how DVD's ya got, and you give a number that can be quantified somehow.

I know where your talking about, if the Disc ID area is blank Personllized will not let you put in the location.  It doesn't need to have the Id, but you need to add a disc and description.

oh you meant that location :-).  I tried it and it worked, THANKS.
BTW for others, Disc ID is in the tab of Disc (how they relate???)

and on another note, I tried the csv plugin download, and it works GREAT.  This is now very nice.

@LanceDVD

Number 1) - already solved

Number 2) - Please elaborate? Not sure what you mean.

Number 3) - Under enter UPC type in the UPC then Click "add DVD" button. It will create a new empty profile. For cover images use amazon or similar website.

Number 4) - tick the box "Full Substring Filter".

Number 5) Modify the title name to include both titles.

Number 6) See Number 5!

Number 7) already solved.

1) Path to solution was posted and it works, but not best solution.  Solution I know is you have to edit dvd, add disc and exit edit, then edit disc again and set location (can not edit location without saving the add disc)  after click about 15 keystrokes for 6 discs yesterday, I still maintain there has to be a better way – but a way exists.
2) I was referring to creating reports that are columner, they sort titles down columns then over and down.  Can see this works ok, but new to program and assumed there would be a left to right capability.
3) Ok, speaking of UPC, is there a location on the main page to get to see the UPC information – since that is what the program basis the info off of.
4) Yea, works nicely.
5) That’s not exactly what I’m looking for, a line per movie, but it could work – as long as both movies are related (i.e. why look for airplane movie under title of Naked Gun?
6) Is similar to 5 ?
7) Saw the CSV plugin on the plugin forum site – it works great.  Thanks this makes it all come together and worth the effort (now I get the report I want ?)
8) And the last one was over TV boxed sets – is there an episode count per boxed set possible?  Episode per disc would also be nice.

Again, cant say enough about the CSV exporter, it brings it all home - sorta speak :-).

1) It's an undocumented design feature.....no disc, no location and slot information. Whilst it is a PITA, it is actually useful for me since for box sets and bonus discs etc.. I can assign a location and slot for each DVD in the jukebox.

2) Feature request.

3) UPC is on displayed on the bottom of the general info tab?  At least it is on my layout.

4) NP.

5) I thought so, don't use box sets....perhaps someone else can help.

6) Other alternative would be to use the Notes field, However this means having two title spaces for the sake of one or two DVDs.

The other option is two add two profiles, one for each movie and set the location info to the same for both titles.

7) Yep!

8) Not that I know off, many requests for DVD counts. Currently only count I know off is the one for DVD count (which is actually a profile count).
