I use the DVD Profiler application all the time and recently upgraded to version 3.0.3.  It had been working fine on my new Windows Vista machine until today.  Now when opening the application and attempting to do almost anything the error "Invalid Floating Point Operation" keeps appearing.  Sometimes multiple errors popup at the same time.  The program has become almost unusable.  I have also noticed that the font on many of the tabs and all of the buttons has disappeared.  To my knowledge I have not installed any software since it last worked, but it is possible that windows or some other application has auto updated itself.

I have tried the following with no luck.
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling the application.
2. Creating a new database with nothing in it.
3. Restoring a backup of the database.
4. Opening the applicaiton by holding down the Ctrl key.
5. Verified the video driver is up to date.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

This error occurs on my version as well. I think it has something to do with how much memory is available. Sometimes it works fine with no errors and the button text there. Sometimes it comes up with the floating point errors. Try a couple of re-boots and see if it goes away.

The problem I have is that the error always returns at some point. If I get it to work, great, but the next time I open the progrma I will probably get the errors. Wierd.

With 4GB or RAM you should never run into memory issues, I suppose. I have 2GB and never encountered an issue (Vista 32bit). Are you running the 32bit or the 64bit Version of Vista?

I'd be very interested in finding out what the problem is here, because this is what's happening to the app when run in Linux under WINE. This suggests some form of OS issue. Perhaps there was a security fix that you just installed that went wrong?

Sorry, I'm not being much help here, so I'll shut up now.
This is a sig... ... ... yay...

Don't understand? Maybe DVDProfilerWiki.org does!

Since posting I have yet to get DVD Profiler to work without the  Invalid Floating Point errors. At first I thought it was only occuring when downloading a lot of stuff while using the program, but now it always has the problem.

I am leaning toward an issue with a security or OS update that downloaded and installed.
