merge two databases

I've got two databases both for version 3 can I merge the two to make one large database and if yes how

Open database 1
Do a backup
Open database 2
Restore the backup you just made

The trick to avoid overwring the entire database is to choose "Restore specific profiles" and then select all the ones you want (all of them in this case I guess)

It's not a bad idea to backup your 2nd database as well before restoring just in case you make a mistake.

Thank you I tryed it and it worked the only problem is I now have two number 1 and so on. untell I got to the new db any thing I can do to change the numbering on the new db

You can go to
Collection -> Reassign Collection number...

And make sure the Eliminate Duplicates is checked.
