Just wondering if anyone can help out or get me pointed in the right direction. Here's the problem: I have a Walmart receipt with a partial UPC code listed. Somehow I forgot to enter it into my DVD Profiler and now..... I have no clue what DVD it is! Usually I go to the Images directory and search for partial UPC numbers to find out what image is associated with it. Since I didn't enter it, I don't have the image. I wonder if someone might be able to try this with their image directory and help me identify my missing DVD. The partial UPC code I have is: 03242902258. I know this is silly of me, but I can't for the life of me remember which DVD it is.

For the sake of this little error on my part, do you think it would be a worthy "future feature suggestion" to be able to search for DVDs by UPC number? Just curious on your thoughts.

Thanks to all!

Do you know whether 03242902258 are the first 11 or last 11 characters of the UPC?

My opinion is probably the first 11 since DVD UPCs should normally start with a 0 or a 7; if that's the case then it should be 032429-022585 (the 5 can be calculated as a checksum) but the title isn't in the database.

If I'm right you should have a copy of the Walmart exclusive of a double pack containing Shooter and the Manchurian Candidate... which needs contributing as a boxset when you have the time

The full UPC could be either 032429022585 or 903242902258, but both aren't in the Profiler DB.
The first is a "Paramount Home Video" UPC according to the UPC-Database, so that is the likelier candidate.

Michael's Movie Mayhem has a list of 114,081 DVD releases (Region 1) which you can search by title, studio, genre, UPC, all.  I did a search on the two number combinations Mithi mentions (032429022585 and 903242902258) but got the following answer: "Sorry, no records were found for your search."

Is it possible that the DVD wasn't a Region 1 title?  I don't know if Wal-Mart sells other than R1s in the US, though.

As I said in my post it was a Walmart exclusive so probably didn't end up on the list for that reason.
