Hi there! Long time user – but 1st time poster here

I’ve done a bit of a search on the forums – but I cannot find the answer for my question – so here goes:

I have a large collection that is spread out around the house in 3 locations.  Is it possible to ‘rename’ the tabs?

‘All’ ‘owned’ ‘ordered’ ‘wish’ etc?

Then I would have :-

‘ALL’ ‘LOCATION 1’ ‘LOCATION 2’ ‘LOCATION 3’

Or is there another way to do this?  I’ve tired doing multiple databases – but it’s going to be a bit of a faff and there would still be no way of showing ‘all’ the collection.

I apologize if this has already been discussed – but I did try a search first.

Many thanks for any help.

BB

Hi BB

For your needs, I would personally use the tags, which can be found under tools/edit tags

Here you could create the 3 locations you have, and tick the relevant box for each title.

Then sort or view by tags

Have a go and come back if you get stuck

cheers

I've started using the "location" for all the dvd's I'm loading into storage units.    For ones I want to keep in their original packaging - I note where in the house those are located and leave the 'slot' field blank.

The catch with the 'location/slot' field is when you currently display it in the list - you'll get 'access violation' errors when entering new or editing dvd's.  Minor inconvenience.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm going to have a stab at it over the weekend :-)

Cheers
