| | Posted: March 14, 2007 12:31 PM | | | | It's great to see the inclusion of the high definition audio types (DD Plus, DD TrueHD & DTS HD etc). However, they need to be expanded to include the type/number of channels.
For HD DVD and Bluray discs the codecs support up to 8 channels so could in theory be anywhere from 1.0 to 7.1 channels and currently there is only 1 option for each of the 3 codecs.
eg Happy Gilmore HD DVD has DD Plus 5.1 and DD Plus 2.0 soundtracks but I have to enter both as just DD Plus. | | | | Stuart | | | | Last edited: March 14, 2007 12:40 PM by Gadgeteer |
