After a few months, I returned to DVD Profiler to update my collection.

I have a premium account.

My collection isn't there.  I had to re-register, which I did.  Then I was told that I have not yet entered any DVDs.  Then, when I went to ask what's up before downloading the new version, I was sent to the Invelos site, and had to register again.  Then, still unable to access my list, not even able to get into the program, I asked to start a trouble ticket.  Invelos tells me that they can't do that for a free account, which I don't have.

They don't have my list; they don't recognize my old key; they don't know my new key is for a paid account; they don't have any way for me to contact them for clarification of my individual situation.  What they do have is my $30.

How does one ask them to either provide their service or give me  my money back?

define "a few month"
You might have missed the whole transfer from Intervocative to Invelos. If so, read FAQ: Why the company change?
Also read FAQ: How do I upgrade?
If you ever uploaded your collection to the old site, it is still there but is accessible only with Version 2.4 not 3.0

I have a premium account.

Thats very good, and the eye-symbol beside your Nick indicates that the forum-software is aware of it.
Click on "Registration" and you should see your premium-key.

Because you didn't upload it to the new site.

Very politely, I would suggest.

It is amazing how many people do not read and are too quick to start sreaming foul.  People need to remember you catch more flyes with honey than you do with shiitake mushroom.

I'd add how many people think they're entitled to a lot - and instantaneous - support for that $30 payment.
