| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I tried to install the Mobile application on my SD card (as I always do) but the synchronization process couldn't find it there. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I don't know remember how I set it up, but I can sync to the SD card in my iPAQ. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

IMO that should be treated as a bug and worked on. I've been using PDA's for 5 years now, bought all kind of programs and DVDP is the only one (yet) that I couldn't install where I wanted. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W | | | Last edited: by Touti |

| Posted: | | | | The instalation itself is not the problem. But when I choose "syncronize with mobile" within the DVDP it says "could not find installation on mobile. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

That's odd. Mine syncs just fine . Edited: Perhaps it's a problem with Activesync settings? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

What version of AciveSync are you using? I am using 4.5.0 (build 5096) and have no problem with it finding the installation on my mobile. So I know it will work.
In another thread, 8ballMax has said that he had problems with ActiveSync being incompatible with MS Outlook 2000 - - so 4.5 may not be the answer to your problems. I think 8ball is using 4.5.2 - so it must work, too.
Aside: The only problem I have with ActiveSync has nothing to do with where it's installed. My problem is that ActiveSync doesn't like to (want to) sync with two different PCs. I sync with my work PC for contact and calendar information and to my home PC for DVDPM. When I click on sync from within Profiler, I get a message that ActiveSync does not want to do this. It WILL sync, but usually I follow its recommendation to COPY the data from the PC to the PDA - and then just use the PDA for reporting purposes only. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? | Posted: | | | | I'm also using 4.5.0 (build 5096). Maybe it's something related to the device itself. Laster this week I'm gonna try to uninstall DVDPM completely from the PDA and the PC, reset the PDA and try again.
I had the same problems as Karsten, installing was no problem at all but then when I tried to synchronize DVDP would say it can't find an installation of DVDPM on the PDA. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

I got that message a couple of times but performing a soft reset of my iPAQ cleared it right up. While I haven't gotten this message myself, I have had my iPAQ "forget" that I had the memory card installed until I performed the soft reset. I have not figured out why it does that, but every so often I guess the SD and CF cards go "on vacation" and the iPAQ doesn't know they are there until it's been reset. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
