I fell for the hype 2 years ago and spent over $60 each for 12' Monster Cables for my subwoofers. Now I need to put the subwoofers somewere else in the room and the 12' arent going to cut it, also we have installed hardwood flooring isntead of carpet so I was thinking of running the wires underneath the house to the wall and run up the wall to were the sub would be then make it nice and neet by cutting a hole and placing a low voltage box with an rca plate so that all I have to do is plug the sub into the power outlet and use a small 3 foot rca or sub woofer cable from the sub to the wall plate behind the sub. My question is will the sound deteriorate of I run say an rca out of my receiver through the wall, underneath the house to the other side of the room up the wall into a plate with an rca female on both sides then a short male/male from the plate to the sub? Does the type of rca really matter? Sub or regular rca? I would still use quality cable just not the "Subwoofer" cables that cost so damn much.

that'll work.....also look into musical equipment stuff,,,you can use a heavy guage wire and then terminate it with bannana plugs as they do on the large cabinets of sound systems
