| Posted: | | | | I've learned here that displaying a white image on a screen for many hours can probably fix burn-in issues with projection TV's. Since I had a new shadow turn up on my 53" projection HDTV, I figured I'd get off my arse and build a DVD that'll display a white image. Figured I'd share. http://strangejourney.net/misc/main.php/d/10669-1/Whiteout.zipInside are the video_ts directories for a 4x3 and a 16x9 version as well as a Nero image of the 4x3 version. All are in NTSC format. If PAL users ask nicely enough, I'll see about putting together a PAL version if you can't use this one. It's actually a photo DVD album that displays a single white picture for one minute in a (hopefully) endless loop. Now I'm off to bleach my TV. ETA: Put the DVD in my xbox 360 and it's playing without issue. Staying white! | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

| Posted: | | | | Some good information.
We have a Tatung 46" Plasma TV and it actually has a feature built in called "White Screen" and it is used for just that.
I have not had any issues yet with it ... but nice to know it is there for me if I ever should.
