I was wondering if it is possible to make a report that uses the original title, if present, and otherwise uses the "DVD Title" field.

I buy my DVDs in Norway (my home country) and online from England, resulting in some English movies bought in Norway having Norwegian titles. It would make the report easier to read and search through if all English movies were displayed the original English title.

I am like you, I buy DVDs in my home country and online mostly from the UK and US, and in my reports I print both Cover Title and Original Title.
If the Original Title is different than the Cover Title, I am fine with printing both.
But if Original Title = Cover Title, I would like to print it only once.
Besides, I would like the possibility to sort profiles by Original Title

@ EnryWiki
I think Myrdraal is asking HOW to accomplish this in reports.
Don't have the answer myself, or I would give it.

Mydraal,
When you create a report the "Original Title" data field is available under the "Film" tab.

In order to modify an existing report to replace the regular title with original title, follow these steps:

1. Launch the Reports tool via Tools -> Reports...
2. Select the report you want to alter and click Edit Report
3. Click the Content tab
4. Click the Film tab (located below the row of buttons)
5. Highlight the field called DVDTitle1 by clicking on it once
6. Press Ctrl+Del on your keyboard, or the large blue minus button above.
7. Click the Film Reel button (which should say "Original Title" if you hover above it)
8. Click in the empty spot created by deleting DVDTitle1
9. If necessary, drag the blue squares of the new field (DVDOriginalTitle1) to adjust it to the right size.
10. Press Save & Close when you're done.

Please Disregard the Below paragraphs - Per EnryWiki's post below this one, what you want is possible.
As for having a report that can tell whether there's an original title or not, and decide which one to use, I don't think that's possible. The best solution would be to either print both, or go through your entire collection and make sure all entries have an original title. Even if it happens to be the same as the regular title.

If you go with the latter, please lock your title field or you risk getting your work wiped out by an update.

Myrdraal:

Like Astrakan said, you can create a report the "Original Title" data field.
If there is no "Original Title" in the profile, the Report will just print the Cover Title.

Really? Very cool. I've modified my original post to reflect this.

Thanks, I looked for the "Original Title" field when I was making the report but I must have missed it, though I find it strange that DVD title and original title are on different tabs.
