I brought this up to Ken a while back ago... about the credit look-up tool showing the results of all the Kevin Smiths together... He is working on a solution but not sure what it is yet...

only the 1970's Smith shows up where? in your local database? or do you mean the look-up tool?

If in your own database...
Do you have any discs with the 1963's Smith? if so see if refreshing the profile from the online database don't fix it to the 1963 Smith.

If you mean the Look-up Tool...
It is showing all combined... if you go to the final page of the listings you will see Xena listings and that is the 1963 Smith.

Or am I misunderstanding you all together?

Here is what happens in the local database:

Let's say you have the entry "Kevin Smith" in your database locally, and all Kevin Smiths link to it (no distinction).  Then you download Clerks with a year of birth entry (1970).  What happens in the change does not affect JUST Clerks.  It changes your Kevin Smith entry instead, so that now all of your "Kevin Smiths" have a birth year of 1970.  It changes the actor entry in your local database, not the DVD entry.  To fix this, you now need to make a new cast entry for other Kevin Smiths and either add their year of birth or, more commonly, do not put a year of birth into this new record.  Now go and replace all instances of this new "un-birth year'ed" Kevin Smith with the proper ones in your database.  For the 1970 Kevin Smith, just leave those alone and propogate the birth year for the correct Kevin.  Confusing, I know, but that's how it works.
