Hello all,

How are we handling the A, B and C region encoding being used on many Blu-ray discs?

Thanks

it seem there is a consensus: look at Vega's Post
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

Fairly well (although I notice for instance Japanese titles, which should be "R1/A" use R2).

Basically all discs are entered as "All Regions" and if they're definitely region-locked that'll be added when the disc is out (e.g. Fox titles, most Disney, some Sony, and so forth).

A site I recommend to all "Blu fans" is:

http://www.blurayregioncodes.com/

I really hope to see A/B/C in the program... (and more audio options, PCM goes up to 7.1 now =)

My understanding is that we are using:

A = 1
B = 2
C = 3

So that Ken can easily convert them to A, B, and C in the database when he adds this functionality in a future version.

Indeed, but since a lot of the new "A" regions are in R2 DVD regions they use just that (uh, R2).

Oh well, whenever the change occurs it hopefully won't be that many titles to change since the number of releases is still not that epic... *hint, hint*
