I bought (many years ago) a three disc version of Panic Room, which was the first edition to be released, but the commentarytrack was missing. Here in Norway, the distributors just think money, and doesn't reply any mails from ordinary customers, so I didn't get a new copy of it. After a while it was withdrawn and was again released with the audiocommantary. According to rules the first edition(release) should be entered in the DB, but how to do it in this situation? Not that I wan't to do it, but if I contributed it withot the commentarytrack I would get alots of NO votes, I suppose... Just wondering what others here think about this case... I probably buy it again on Blu-Ray if it's get released on that format, and give the 3-disc away

Technically you would be correct in a contribution where you removed the commentary track. But as you suggested you probably would get a lot of No votes.

If you have a contribution to the title, you can do a partial contribution and not contribute the features. You can lock the features on your profile, that way it won't get overwritten.

Regards.

Hm...

Mine is missing the commentary aswell, did not know about this untill now...
I will suport the change if you contribute it, bought it on date if I remember right.

This will be somthing Skip would call colectible as it is limited DVD's out there with this fault...

If the commentary had only been missing from a few pressings then I would say no, don't remove it.
But it sounds like the whole run never had the commentary, in which case I agree it's perfectly acceptable to remove it from the profile.

If the commentary is on the back but not on the disc and it is ORIGINAL release data, then the data should be corrected, very simple. Those that might have a later CORRECTED release should track their data locally, assuming they did not change the UPC, but it should not be Online.

Yes it was bought on date, and the first release was without commentary even if it says so on the cover, but ti's not present on the disc. The release is also the same pressing that was released in UK, but there they got it refunded when the new release was released. Anyway now I see the commentarytrack isn't listed in the contribution, but anyway I wanted to know how the other people here say about this subject.

Thats odd because it says commentary in my profile, and it is not locked down.

I have the same as you, was a little fast, but you're right it says Audiocommantary in the Features section, but it's not listed as a soundtrack. So you're right about that, I see that you contributed it also, so maybe we should remove Commentary from the Features section then?

Was a profile I let thru from the old intervocative db, in those days...
I'll suport you, we should look at the coverscans aswell I think.
