Sorry to be posting so many questions but I'm a Newbie at DVD Profiler and I want to get off on the right track.

I have a DVD with NO UPC number.  It does have a Disc ID that is:

8FA9DD686652D0F4 [NORA_GREENWALD__SHOOTIN_THE]

The DVD is entitled Nora Greenwald "Shootin' the Shi Crap".  It is marked as a YAGER Video Production and copyright 2005 by Bing Entertainment Inc.  Nora Greenwald was known as "Molly Holly" in WWE Wrestling.  She produced and distributed this DVD herself.  I had to send a letter directly to her with the payment in order to buy the DVD.  There is absolutely no UPC marked anywhere on the packaging or the disc itself.

Is there a way to submit this DVD to the Database?

Assuming this is a properly pressed DVD (i.e. not something she just burnt on a DVDR herself) then you can add it and contribute it by Disc ID. Just use put the disc in your drive, go to add the DVD and select the "Add Inserted Disc" tab.

It is a commercially pressed DVD.  Do I leave the UPC blank or put in all zeros or something?

You don't need to put a UPC in at all. Just go to the "Add Inserted Disc" tab in the Add window, and the program will let you add the DVD without a UPC. You can then contribute this in the normal way.

What TheFly says.

Don't enter a "dummy" UPC or use all zeroes as this will only bollux up the online database with garbage data.  If you've entered the DVD into your database by DiscID, that's the indicator that will be used in the online database if/when you contribute the title.

Mardon:

What Ken and Fly has said is correct. However, all you had to do is read the Rules, they would provide the answer for you

"Do not contribute titles with "made up" or otherwise inaccurate UPCs. If a title does not have a UPC, then add the title by Disc ID, using your DVD-ROM drive."

Each of these sentences taken directly from the Rules gives exactly the same information you have been provided.
