What to do about submitting production years for a double feature |

| | Posted: | | | | I have run into the problem in dealing with double features where both titles are on the same disc. I'm not sure what do about the production years. I can't seem to leave it blank when submitting the profile and I've tried putting both years separated by a / but it won't accept that. Perhaps I'm missing something. So I thought I would ask here. |

| | Posted: | | | | I agree... I would also use the earliest production year... as long as both movies are on the same side of the disc. You didn't specify if the movies were both on one side of the disc... or 1 movie on each side of the disc.
If one movie on each side then per the rules this would be considered a boxset... and each movie added by disc ID. | | | | Pete |

So based on the rules the earliest production year should definitely be used in scenarios 2 and 3 as it would be considered a "box set." (would be helpful to have a link in the production year section of the rules to the note about box sets- I went straight to the film details section of the rules, which discusses production years, but makes no cross-reference to the box set issue). Is the general consensus that the earliest production year should be used in scenario 1 as well? |

| | Posted: | | | | Yeah... I would think whenever you have more then 1 feature per profile you should use the earliest year... and per rules it is not the production year that you need... it is the year of the Theatrical Release... which could be something entirely different. | | | | Pete |

And pay close attention to what it says "The term "Box Set" is used to define any release that includes more than one film." Boxset is a TERM and nothing more, it is not descriptive of the packaging, and that is how we define it.
