Is there a way of putting the UPC barcode in a report?

I have a font that will generate the appropriate barcode, but I would need to put in an * (asterisk) in tfhe at the front and back of the upc to create a scannable barcode.

I suppose if you generate the barcode and then make it an image file, i.e., jpeg, you could probably insert it into a report.

I have a couple of options.  Currently I just use the CSV exporter utility and run a macro in excel.  I was hoping that in the Report editor I could put something like a pre and post text item in the UPC field.

Well, it might work if you put a text-field with just the asterisk in front and back of the UPC, but I'm not sure whether that works if there are the unavoidable empty spaces due to the different lenght of the barcodes. My guess ist: it wouldn't.

So I come back to my favorite: XSLT
This XSL will spit out a list,
looking like this.
Caution: for reasons of being lazy I use the <ID> instead of the real <UPC> which I would have to clear of the hyphens first, DVDs enterd with Disk-ID instead of UPC will also get a barcode, see first item on the list.

Thank you for that.  I will see if I can integrate it with what I have.
The upc barcodes with the reports would be a "nice to have".  Oh well.......

I'll try to come up with an acceptable solution with my warm sake and sushi. Banzai!!!!
