Hi, this is my second topic here. Thanks for good help and the warm welcome to the «Asylum»

Over to my next (noob) question:

I've just bought the above title with UPC#8717418162665 (Locality: Norway), which I guess is the same as the Swedish release of it, except the backcover.

This edition contains the 2-disc Collector's Editions of both «National Treasure» and «National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets.» No seperate UPC's are provided with the release. So I only have DiscID from DVDProfiler. It also contains an exclusive Bonus Disc with four featurettes.

I've read the rules over and over again regarding Box Sets, and as far as I can tell I need to create my own profile's for the two movies (incl the bonusdiscs respectively) and create an own profile for the bonus disc (as I only have the UPC for the complete 5-Disc release).

I've tried to grabbed the German and Swedish release (by UPC) - but they don't seem to contain any Box Set Contents, but I guess that is due to the way it's handled in DVDProfiler(?)

So, any tips and/or suggestions to help me on the way here? There's now way this is gonna be a quick job I guess
- Or is there?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

There are separate profiles available for the German Presidential Edition.

They can be found in the database under:

Das Vermächtnis der Tempelritter --- Disc-ID 359C-4F0F-D710-9517 --- Released July 3rd 2008 (Orig. National Treasure)
Das Vermächtnis des geheimen Buches --- Disc-ID A829-7DC9-C10G-EE1B --- Released July 3rd 2008 (Orig. National Treasure: Book of Secrets)
Das Vermächtnis des geheimen Buches/Das Vermächtnis der Tempelritter: Exklusive Bonus-Disc --- DiscID B4FB-1B7D-4CD2-949C

The easiest way would be to add the profiles above to your collection, change the locality to Norway and also change the EAN (in this case the Disc-ID) to the norwegian Discs in your set.
Now you have to change the rest of the profile (audio tracks etc.) to match your discs and add the coverscans of the norwegian box.

I think the Bonus Disc has the same Disc-ID as other international editions (German Disc-ID is the same disc as the Australian release I figured out when adding it to the database), so you only have to change the locality to Norway and add the norwegian covers again and also verify if it's really the same disc (I could be wrong with my assumption  )

That should be the easiest way (I hope),

Have fun,
PsychoM@n

Edit:
Don't forget to change the locality from "Norway" to "Germany" respectively "All" or you won't find the German profiles in the "Add by title" screen!

At the minute DVD Profiler doesn't automatically download or link child profiles to boxsets. What you can do is when you're in the Add DVD screen, find the parent profile you're interested in and ask to "Preview". You'll see a section in there called Box Set Contents and this should list any Disc IDs that are attached. If you then search for the child profiles by title, you can compare the IDs to those listed on the left of the list of profiles.
If I'm reading your description right you should end up with 1 parent profile created using the UPC, and 3 child profiles created by ID. One for each of the films (and their bonus disc) and one for the extra bonus disc. Just like the German boxset (thanks for the description PsychoM@n).
Boxsets can be very difficult to profile, so good luck!

Thanks to both of you, I've downloaded the German profiles, they seem to be the most complete ones in the database for this release. I'll update here if I have any other questions, and when the Box Set is complete. Will contribute the profile with the UPC I got (Norway).

Have a nice day
