In the contrib. notes I stated that the information was from the front and rear covers and watching the dvd.  Still, declined...twice!  I changed the Notes after the first decline and thought it was ok.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Without knowing more about the specific disc... did you state why you were adding it via Disc ID? Also, is it actually an officially released DVD?

I enter profiles by ID all the time, but they are always child profiles
and I state what the parent profile is by name and UPC.

It was the Friday Night Lights (movie) Wal-Mart Exclusive bonus disc.  It's an official disc.

A bonus disc?
Did it come in a separate package (Box Set), or was it in the same keep case as the main feature?

In General bonusdiscs should be entered in the "Discs"-section of the main profile. There are some exceptions regarding boxsets, but for normal 2-Disc packages (main feature + bonus disc) a separate contribution of the bonus disc is not needed.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

In fact, in general, husker, unless a bonus disc comes it's own case we do not create Profilesfor Bonus Discs. That would explain the decline. You were treying to create a Profile for something you should not have been

Uhhhhh.....well played Skip...well played indeed.
Check that, I was thinking of another disc.
It doesn't have it's own UPC.  But it does have it's own keep case.

Yes. Disc ID is only to be used when a disc doesn't have a UPC. Like to create children in a box set, or for promo DVDs.

Ok, husker, if it has it's own case but no UPC then you would have to use Disc ID, perhaps the answer is in your notes.

If there is no UPC on this bonus disc you have to enter it by the disc ID. And yes I have seen Walmart exclusives with no UPC on the bonus disc... just wrapped together with the movie.

The question I would ask... was there any type of reason given for the decline? check in the toolbar above....
My Profiler-->Contributions

And underneath where it says declined... what type of reason did they give for the decline... that could help us figure out why it was declined.

I would also add to any contribution notes that this is a Bonus DVD with no UPC for buying XXX movie...has it's own case as per rules.

"An invalid source, such as a third party database, was listed in the contribution notes. Use of a third party database is not allowed per the contribution rules".  That's the reason I get for all of my declines.
On a side note, none of this would be happening if CNET hadn't f'ed over us DVDSpot users.  But I digress.

So....what are you using.  Evidently the screeners think you are violating the Rules. What do your notes say.

That is usually given for cast/crew information... where did you get that information from? Per the rules cast and crew must come from the actual on-screen credits of the show. Or from having uncredited cast... if you have any uncredited cast you must provide documentation to prove they were in the show.

No 3rd party database like IMDB (or similar) is allowed per the rules. Basically if it can come from the actual on screen credits that is where it must come from... if you deviate from that you must provide documentation for it.

Another possibility... did you provide cover scans? if so where did they come from? can't use cover scans that are watermarked from another site. But then I would think they would accept the profile but not the image.
