Hi,

I would like to get the XML of my online collection to be able to customize its display (having something else than In Blue or Plum Peachy)...

For instance, I imagine something like:
- http://www.invelos.com/xmllist.aspx/username?type=x: which could send the whole list in xml format
- http://www.invelos.com/onlinecollections/xmlDVD.aspx?U=y: which could send the data for the dvd in xml format

Like this, it could be very easy to customize the fields we want to display, the look & feel, ... with xsd, or any parser...

If it's already possible, that's really great (a link to to a sample would be nice )
If not, is it plan or does any other solution exists to do it?

(I don't want to locally export and then upload the xml from the software.. as the share is already done when publishing...)

BTW, another quick question... the Dev section in the forum is locked by default... which language can be used to develop plugin?

Kind regards,

  W.

Well, that disallows my answer of "phpDVDProfiler" (see my signature image).

A few years ago, Ken promised something called "DVD Profiler Online Plus". But since he's busy with the IPad version and (assumingly) the Android version and he's in the planning stage for 3.8, I doubt it'll come any time soon.

You have to request access to that forum, then you'll get in. I'm not sure about other languages, but there's definitively a plugin-kit for C#. And since it's .Net, VB.NET will work as well. I'm not sure about classic Visual Basic. Delphi will probably also work.

I have seen the TeeChart component for the charts in dvd profiler and were expecting this was written in Delphi (even if Teecharts are available for many platforms/languages).

My first try with DVD Profiler was yesterday... and I don't have a lot to put in my collection database... if my DB grows, I'll subscribe to the dev section...

BTW, thank you for teh fast answer

AFAIK, the Developer forum and resource-kits are only available to premium registrants.
It's not as bad as it sounds. There are a lot of users here who consider this to be the best spent $ 30 in their life.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
