Problem with connection PC

Since I have updated my apps on my iphone and ipad I can no longer connect with my pc. When i want to update my databse i get an error '' Unable to connect '' on my device. My data is entered correctly (server, port and password). What should I do?

The most likely causes are that either the IP address of your PC changed, or your software firewall is blocking the connection.  When a program is updated, software firewalls detect the change and many will institute a block.
